Meet Emma & Ben - The Block 2025 Contestants

EXPERIENCE

No other team this season can match Emma and Ben’s renovation background. They’ve already completed two full house renos and a new build on top of that.

“My aunty flipped houses her whole life, she is probably our inspiration,” Ben said.

Their renovation journey began when they bought their first home at 24 — and they’ve been flipping properties and documenting the process online ever since.

Emma, 33 – Dance Teacher

Emma has worn many hats — she first taught woodwork before transitioning to her true calling: dance. Now one of Australia’s leading pole dancers, she’s helped grow the sport and teaches it full-time.

She also runs her own activewear business, catering to the pole-dancing community.

“It’s such a great workout,” Emma says. “The students are anywhere between 13 and 70 and everyone comes together, it’s amazing.”

Ben, 32 – Engineer & Aspiring Firefighter

Ben studied engineering and was recently accepted into the Melbourne fire brigade — a role he’s put on hold to join The Block.

He’s also dabbled in stand-up comedy, a skill that may come in handy during the show’s famously unpredictable challenges.

THEIR RELATIONSHIP

Emma and Ben have been together for over a decade, married for the past three years — but their story started much earlier. They first met at the lockers in high school and stayed close friends right through to Year 12 before getting together in 2011.

Ben has no doubt Emma’s personality will shine on the show.

“She is organised, has a great rapport with everyone, and can win people over by just being herself,” he said.

Emma is confident Ben’s forward-thinking mindset will give them the edge in the competition.

“Ben is a great forward planner and will organise our trades so well,” she said.
