
Season 1 & 2 of The Block in 2003 and 2004 featured a simple logo with a red block of apartments building and the same block letters that are still featured 22 years later!
These seasons were in Bondi (S1) and then Manly (S2).

Season 3 of The Block in 2010 (after a 6 year break) was yet another block of apartments in Vaucluse, NSW. The logo is the same as the original logo but with the year 2010 at the bottom.

For the first time ever, The Block renovated 4 individual houses for Season 4 in 2011. The logo reflected this with 4 cute red side by side houses. Also in a first for the show, it was filmed in South Melbourne, VIC instead of NSW.

In 2012 (Season 5), The Block stayed in South Melbourne, VIC! This time it was terrace houses with new extensions on the back.

In 2013, we saw the first all-stars to compete on The Block a second time for Season 6 back where The Block started, in Bondi, NSW.

For the first time ever, there were 2 seasons of The Block in one year. Season 7 in 2013 (Sky High) was the first ever high rise The Block completed! This series was in South Melbourne, VIC.

In 2014, we saw 2 all-star teams join 2 newbies for The Block Fans vs Faves Season 8! This season the contestants renovated an old movie theatre into luxury multi-storey loft style apartments.

Also in 2014 was The Block Glasshouse in Phrahan, VIC! The 5 new teams renovated an old, abandoned office building into 6 luxury apartments.

In 2015, The Block's 10th season anniversary, we saw The Block Triple Threat where there was one all-star team and 3 new teams renovate an old mulit-level apartment block in South Yarra, VIC.

For Season 11 in 2015, The Block renovated an old octagonal shaped high-rise apartment block in South Yarra, VIC.

In 2016, The Block moved to Port Melbourne, VIC for Season 12. Contestants renovated an old soap factory into luxury apartments.

In 2017, The Block moved to Elsternwick, VIC and it was back to houses! The Season 13 contestants renovated 5 weatherboard houses from around Victoria and added a huge extension, garage and studio on the back of them!

In 2018 The Block made a move to the beach in St Kilda, VIC. The Season 14 contestants renovated an old boarding house as well as new penthouse apartments added on the roof! This seasons logo also included a Sun and trees which was a first for a block logo and has continued for years since.

In 2019, The Block moved just up the road to an old backpackers motel in St Kilda, VIC. The Season 15 contestants were tasked with building massived 3 stroey terrace homes that were over 400m2 each!!

In 2020, The Block moved to bayside location Brighton, VIC! This year the contestants were renovating 5 weatherbard homes from different decades (10s, 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s). Season 16 was even shut down for 6 weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Block 2021 was another Fans vs Faves season! This time there were 2 all-star teams and 3 newbie teams competing in a cul-de-sac in the family friendly suburb of Hampton, VIC. The Season 17 contestants all had very unique homes of different sizes and styles.

The Block 2022 was situated in Gisborne, VIC in the stunning Macedon Ranges where the Season 18 contestants renovated 5 old weatherboard homes with pavilion extensions and massive sheds. Not to mention at least 10 acres of land each to landscape!!

In 2023, the Season 19 contestants renovated 5 blonde brick post-war homes into 2 storey luxury homes on corner block in Hampton East, VIC.

In 2024, The Block hit its milestone 20th season! The Season 20 contestants renovated 5 houses, a clubhouse, pool area and BBQ in an old, rundown resport on Phillip Island, VIC.

In 2025, The Block moves to country town Daylesford, VIC! The Season 21 contestants will be building from scratch, 5 pavilion style homes with triple-car garages, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and plenty of landscaping. The houses will also be fully off-grid and carbon neutral. The 2025 logo reflects the beautiful town that Daylesford is with flowers and trees as well as the statement red house as with all The Block logos.
